Ahmed El Attar's On The Importance Of Being An Arab opened last night to great acclaim from it's audiences.  A powerful, intense and visceral work charged with stories, conversations and other fragments from the recent events in Tahrir Square. In attendance were art critics, Ambassadors and Cultural Attaches.

The performance was followed by an insightful and open Q&A chaired by LIFT Artistic Director Mark Ball.

One quote that stood out from the rest in these austere times:

Revolution is about changing mind sets. That's why art and culture are so important now, even more than before.

Ahmed El Attar

Last two performances tonight at the ICA at 7.30 and 9pm.
