How many of you are there?
At the moment we are team of 6 staff. During festival season we've been known to grow in size up to 200 with volunteers, placements and casual staff but that only lasts for about one month of the year.
Are you a charity?
Spot on! We are a charity and all donations are warmly welcome.
How can I make a donation?

How much of my donation is spent on administration and overheads?
None - LIFT receives Arts Council England funding which covers our core costs, administration and overheads. We are therefore able to spend 100% of all donations on artistic activity.
How do I get considered to be a part of your festival?

We receive a lot of work so if you are sending yours in, please try to keep it brief and punchy.
What kind of work does LIFT present?
LIFT presents a broad range of theatre practice created by British and international artists, with our definition of theatre being very broad. It encompasses text-based theatre, live art, physical & contemporary dance theatre, installation, as well as site specific and interactive theatre and performance. We prioritise work that's never been presented in the UK.
Do you work with local as well as international companies?
Yes.
When is the next festival?
The next full festival will be in Summer 2012, but there will also be a series of special events and an exciting new project on climate change in 2011, as part of LIFT's 30th birthday celebrations.
What are you doing around the Olympics?
The 2012 LIFT Festival will take place immediately prior to the Olympics. It will provide an opportunity for LIFT to present the world in London and London to the world. We're setting the bar extremely high and will be looking to present some truly innovative work across London in 2012.
